Ive seen several of his youtubes he seems to be more BBr centric than strength especially when he mentions glute and ham tie in development
I just remember his name from the Biotest Anaconda marketing article where it was claimed that he gained 30 lbs of muscle in six weeks and improved his seated OHP to 375 lbs for 5 reps (even though he was jerking much less than that for a single when he was competing in OL).
A guy who knows a lot about training ,but sadly gets paid by biotest to write shit articles about their ''wonder'' supplements that beat anabolic steroids/HGH/IGF1/insulin.
Great physique nevertheless.
This. I've explained my absolute hatred on here a few times for the Anaconda protocol that t-nation always pushes that consists of taking like $400 worth of shitty supplements within a few weeks time to supposedly gain an outrageous amount of muscle. Such garbage. I do not read his articles due to him being a sell out.
Yeah, it just irks me that people judge the ability of a strength coach based on his appearance. Hell, by the time I graduated from high school, I could lift more than my first coach ever did in his life (he lifted at 132). And he was old enough that he basically resembled a raisin with arms and legs (said this to him once, when he asked me "what do I look like to you?" - yes, did laps and penalty sets, so what?). He was still a great coach, and to this day I still think he is, or would be if he were alive, a better coach than me.
Judging the ability of someone to instruct based on their appearance pretty much says everything about how foolish and superficial bodybuilding is. I rarely recall ever having a coach that I could not out-perform. So what? Can they help me do better? That is all that matters.
Bodybuilders freakin' baffle me.
And all the fucking retards buy it.
Goal of a business: $$$$$$$$$
Anaconda Protocol + supplement dummies looking for that new shortcut product = $$$$$$$$
Good on T-Nation. Brilliant, actually.
I'm sure Thibaudeau cries himself to sleep at night knowing you don't read his material because you think he's a sellout, though.
You don't see it as being disingenuous to use your position as a respected named in the fitness industry to push useless crap at the expense of the unknowing consumer just for a few bucks?
I do not believe in shady business tactics personally. if I'm going to get rich, it will be in a moral way. selling out is not something to be looked up to.
EDIT: If that's how you feel, then Matt Furey must be looked up to aswell.
What you describe happens in every industry/business.
Also, "just for a few bucks"? Did you mean "in order to support your family/buy food/put a roof over your head/survive"?
Congrats on having a golden moral compass. Good luck on getting rich while remaining 100% "moral". Who said anything about looking up to anyone?
I don't know who Matt Furey is, but if what he does allows him to make a living and support himself, all the power to him. I don't give a shit.
I really like Kevin O'Leary and his views on business/money. Watch at least the first 1:30 and you'll get a good idea why. Watch the rest and you'll get a better idea:
As harsh as he seems, O'Leary's views are 100% correct. I don't see the comparison between him and Thibaudeau.
