Who is better? DC or Stipe?

DC KO'd Stipe in the first round, in the first fight.

The second fight, DC was beating Stipe up and was clear ahead on points before the TKO in the 4th.

We still have DC > Stipe. They need a 3rd to settle it.

DC by far, although Stipe fanbois will have you think that Stipe is the one who was undefeated at HW before the fight, and DC is the one who got KO'd by Struve.
 
Oh a new fresh conversation, interested to dig deep into the literature on this one
 
Stipe has better wins and is the favourite if there is a second fight. DC's body is still the weakness as well as his size.

I'm from the future... Stipe will finish DC in the second fight, probably the 4th round. :)
 
Needs a trilogy, tbh.

DC has won more rounds head to head, though.

Cormier got lucky the first time. Miocic proved he’s the better fighter in a championship 5rd fight.

I think DC is easily the better fighter when you consider capabilities and skillsets. Stipe has hands, and he can wrestle.

DC can wrestle on a different level, and does well in the striking, despite not being gifted with height and a long reach.

Not sure about Stipe's subs, but DC works some in from time-to-time as well.

That said, there's never really a gaurantee that Stipe won't beat DC because he matches up well against him and is generally very solid to begin with.
 
It's very close between them. 3rd fight is almost a pickem. Though give Stipe credit for doing better against fighters that soak up pressure well like Werdum. And I give Stipe a much better chance against Jones, albeit largely because of size.
 
I was rooting for Stipe to win, but I would pick DC as the better fighter overall. If he would have wrestled and not gotten into a toe to toe slugfest with Stipe, he probably would have won this fight also. DC should ask for the rematch with Miocic to end his career.
 
they need to do an immediate rematch in 3-4 months. Tired of the HW division remaining stagnant with all the stipe, dc, brock drama.

If DC ducks (retires) then stipe wins the trilogy for me.

DC got knocked out by a guy cold who doesn’t even knock people out .....
 
you can argue that dc's punch was lucky and a fluke and that stipe's tko was a matter of technique and skill. if they fought 100 times stipe would win at least 60 times
