Everyone always talks shit abt GSP's opponents, DJ's opponents...but who has Anderson Silva beat?

Rich Franklin?

Hendo coming off a loss to Rampage?

Is rich franklin really Anderson silvas best win?

He beat Lord Chael twice. Gotta hespek it.

Despite your downplaying of it most likely Hendo or Vitor.

Griffin, Franklin, Maia, Sonnen, Marquardt, and Okami are all varying degrees of solid as well.

Good question.

It's not necessarily who he beat but how he beat them.

It was more the way he beat them as if they were red headed step children.

Hendo was opening his gym at the time and didn't train or cut weight till the last minute. Had Hendo prepared for that fight likely be a totally different outcome.

Why are you downplaying Anderson? In his prime, he was a phenomenal fighter with great reflexes and striking. He fought the best at that time and what the UFC was offered to him. It's not his fault Yoel, Rockhold, Jacare, Weidman etc, etc, weren't around at his peak. I would have loved to see those fights but he defended against the best that were available.

Hendo, Vitor, Franklin, Maia, Sonnen, Marquardt, Okami, Leben, Newton, Sakurai
All good wins.
Add Griffin and Bonnar

Add the way he beat people....

all of them are good wins.
Just because he made it look easy, doesn't mean those are not solid fighters

Hendo. Vitor. Sakurai. Forrest. Franklin.

In that order.

Nobody just handled Vitor on the feet like he did back then.

Hendo coming off a competitive loss to a dangerous LHW champ is shameful how exactly?

Rich was supposed to rule MW for years to come back then.

Marquardt was the next big thing and alot of people had him beating Anderson leading up to it.

Embarrassed a LHW champ in Forrest albeit not a long reigning or dominant champ.

Chael was a very bad stylistical match up and he took those fights in stride.

The fashion in which he destroyed them and finished them is the impressive part.

Clearly it's Forrest. Forrest walks around at like 240 lb.

Anderson was the man in his days. The only fighter to jump weight just to fight. I'm sure he was well compensated. And he didn't need a title shot to do so. Even though Andy didn't face top competition in his earlier weight transitions he still did where no one else did. He risked his title at 185. Had he lost during his reign at 185 many would have said that particular opponent was champ.

Most of his wins are extremely weak and definitely detract from his all-time great status and put him quite a bit below a lot of other fighters, but at the same time he showed in those wins that he was on another level than them which is why he is still considered in the top fighters of all time. I'd realistically put him between 10-20 on the GOAT p4p list, which is still exceptionally good, but not on the level of others.

Hendo or juiced to the gills chael. Both significant wins

Good question.

Have to agree with this 100%.
It wasn't his fault that the MW division wasn't exactly stacked when he ran through it.

I was never a fan of his in cage gamesmanship (versus Leites and Maia).
Primarily because he didn't need to do any of that shit and had already broken most of the guys he fought before they stepped in the Octagon with him, but when he had his head in the game, he absolutely destroyed some very solid fighters.

Even though he won several fights impressively after his first fight with Chael, I feel like some of his mystique faded after that and fighters did not see him in the same invincible way and came in actually expecting to win.
I did not feel like that was the case prior to Chael, so giving credit where credit is due.
