Who here has never watched UFC 1

Haha I remember renting UFC 1 on VHS from the video store when I was like 8. I can’t wait to go to the 25th anniversary card here in Denver in November.
Do you remember the joint ufc/mortal kombat commercials we had in Denver for that?!

have seen pieces of it, never all the way thru.

Inb4 some Sherdork tells bullshit story about watching it live as a kid from a black box tv descrambler and hasn't missed an event since or watched it on VHS after UFC 3-4.

If you appreciate traditional arts, youbwould appreciate the early UFC's, IVC, WCC's etc. The players there were pretty true to whatever their traditional style was.
Depends...Most of the fights were really hardcore, was more about GNP even from the strikers or BJJ dudes...

Headbutts...Headbutts everywhere...

the thought of seeing an old fashioned fight where guys are essentially pulled off the street never made me enthusiastic enough to go back and watch most of the early UFCs. Ive seen enough from highlights played over and over

In highschool at the time... Didn't know what it was... back then if a neighbor had order that channel for the weekend the neighborhood got it. But been training to look like Sage and fight like that skinny dude since then.

Gordeau was a bad man!

I watched it about the time I started watching MMA at a hardcore level which was 2010 or 2011ish.

Interesting stuff no doubt.

Jim Brown could hardly hide his pro-Gracie views...
Lol So true!! Jim even went on some talk show boasting how this little Brazilan man could beat anybody. That was a fun era of MMA.

He was actually already their student at that time...

In the video rental store by my house, they had the ufc stuff behind the curtains in the porn section

I used to watch all these bad boys when they came out on VHS with my pops. I remember how surprised he was when he saw Royce's scrawny ass yokin' out monsters like Shammy and Pat Smith. He was far more comfortable with beasts like Vitor on roids and mid-30's Couture putting guys down, but he truly never got over Royce's tremendous success against ostensibly superior physical specimens.

The guy that owned the local video store was a pro wrestler. The day he got UFC 1 in he was like I think you may like this, been hooked since.
