Holloway wasn't even ranked yet, he was still a 21 year old who wasn't half as good as he is now. Poirier was decent, but only ranked high because KZ left the division after destroying him. His best win was probably Koch.

Neither of those guys were really considered elite when Connie beat them.

Well that and KZ leaving. But I don't think anyone considered him elite. He was #5 kinda like Munoz/Bader were #5 in their divisions.
