Who will be looked back on as having a true aura of invincibility?

The one who was never broken?

The one people look back on and say, yeah, that's the guy.

It's very rare I ever hear someone trying to nit pick and discredit Bas's career.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone really ever criticise his career at all, people just know the guy was legit.

Although "the one was never broken". If this is another Khabib dick sucking thread then mods should probably yellow card, it's like 3 a day you're making.

Even though he was a model who fought in a promotion where you couldn't punch in the face and WWE style rope breaks existed lol

Still number 1 terrifying Guapo!

The general public views him as the GOAT for this reason according to the recent biggest GOAT poll in MMA history with over 500, 000 votes.

An aura of invincibility is something not many attain, and even fewer keep.

It's something to look back on and say, oh yeah, that's the guy.
I agree with Khabib, but to keep quoting that BT uk poll is just embarrassing, I'm English watched mma since the mid 90s, the vast majority of people over here have only watched it since Bt sports started showing and then only the UFC promotion shows so will believe whatever Bt and UFC tells them.... Tyrone was the ww goat a few years ago according to Bt sports at the time!

It doesn't matter.

It's still 100 x bigger than the Sherdog poll and a good sample size for what your average Joe thinks.

We've never seen a GOAT poll with 500 k votes.

Wouldn't you prefer the opinions of more informed people, who know more than Conor, Khabib and maybe a few champions? I can give you my opinion on crop rotation in the thirteenth century but it is worth Jack shit!

Prime Anderson Silva had the biggest aura of invincibility. If you stayed on the feet he would knock you out. If you took him down he would submit you. He had losses before and after his prime, but in his prime he was unbeatable. Khabib will always be known as the most dominant because of his grappling, but he is a one trick pony in that regard. It is however the best trick in the sport. If Khabib takes you down it's over. You can not beat him if he gets you to the ground. If he can't get you to the ground then he could be in trouble and that's why he didn't have the biggest "aura of invincibility."
Everyone that Khabib faced thought that they can prevent the takedown and they were dead wrong. They had confidence though, so the aura wasn't there. He is and will be the most dominant, but the thought remains that you can beat him if you can stop the takedown. The thought is wrong though, because only one has stopped the takedown and Khabib arguably lost that fight.
