Fedor's run at HW is far more impressive. But I think Werdum's wins are more impressive, especially considering Fedor is among them.

I believe this is only the case if you look at the name value alone.

Fedor has 6 top 5 victories in his career: Nogueira twice, Cro Cop, Arlovski, Sylvia, and Herring.
Werdum has 5 top 5 victories in his career: Fedor, Cain, Hunt, and Browne twice .

When you beat guys is the most important aspect of the fight game. Werdum's victory over Hunt is better than Fedor's victory over Hunt but Fedor's victories over Nogueira are significantly better than Werdum's victory over Nogueira.

When Werdum beat Overeem way back in PRIDE, that win wasn't terrible big. Top 10 victory, but it's not a huge win. If Werdum beats Overeem now, that's another top 5 victory on Werdum's resume. Timing is everything.

The question isn't who you think the GOAT is, it's who you think think has the better wins. Werdum gets my vote and it's not even that hard, honestly. He got a lot of his good wins after the sport evolved.
