Who has grappling experience outside the major ones?

By major ones I mean wrestling (greco, free and folk style) BJJ and Judo

Any obscure arts you started out in? Anything you still use?

I have attended the odd JJJ and Aikido class and still use one ahndtrowing technique to demonstrate the meaning of Gentle way but thati s about it, oh and one reversal for a jujigatame that I picked up from JJJ first but we later coverd that in Judo aswell so it is not like it was absent from judo

Edit: I would love to seriously train some SUMO, the simpleness of the rules speak to me or is there finer points about SUMO that I miss besides pushing the other guy outside the ring/make him touch the ground with anything but his feet/hands?

i took a JJJ class and decided that was one of the worst decisions i've ever made

i trained luta livre for a couple of days in rio. it was pretty cool.

an old friend of mine was heavily into shuai chaio, but he never taught me any of it

What was it like? How was it different that BJJ (not just in uniform)?

I was in Germany a while back, where Luta Livre seemed pretty big, only no-gi and a bigger focus on leglocks, was real good training actually and the head instructor for the Germany branch seemed to be doing good at a lot of major no-gi tournaments in europe.

Did quite a few whacky takedowns to different leglocks and that sort of thing, all those damn heelhooks scared the shit out of me thou

I took Kuk Sool Won for several years. It used alot of wrist locks and a fair amount of ground work. Kinda used cheap tactics to win.

What exactly are cheap tactics?

Do they work? Good. Use em.
