So, we talked about the best prospects on Brazilian card. (https://forums.sherdog.com/threads/...lian-prospects-on-this-weekends-card.4273886/) Just looking at tomorrow's cards, they are not short of prospects either. Instead of talking about just UFC card, just wondering what Sherbros think is a better collection of prospects between the two cards, and who you think will go the furthest.

Yusaku Kinoshita 22 WW 6-1

Tatsuro Taira FLW 23 12-0
Rinya Nakamura 27 BW 6-0

Jeong Yeong Lee 27 FW 9-1

Jesus Aguilar 26 FLW 26 8-1
Seung Guk Choi 26 FLW 6-1
Hyun Seong Park 27 FLW 7-0
Toshiomi Kazama 25 BW 10-2
Zha Yi 26 FW 21-3
Anshul Jubli 28 LW 6-0
Jekee Saragih 28 LW 13-2

Bellator

Akhmed Magomedov 26 FW 9-0
Mukhamed Berkhamov 29 WW 14-0
Steve Mowry 30 HW 10-0

Ali Isaev 39 HW 9-0

Nikita Mikahilov 24 BW 24 8-2
Max Rohskopf 28 LW 7-1 - remember this guy?
Grant Neal 27 LHW 7-1
Jornel Lugo 27 BW 27 8-1
Jaylon Bates 26 BW 6-0

Excited to see Nakamura smesh

Japanese smesh

This could be the last stand of JMMA.

Since Rizin seems barren when it comes to Japanese talent.

But I don't follow regional Japanese MMA, so I could be wrong.

I miss staying up to watch some high level JMMA.

Let's not call Isaev a prospect, homie is about to turn 40. Both cards have surprisingly good prospects on them though, Taira, Rinya and Kinoshita are 3 of Japan's 4 best prospects and all really good. This is a surprisingly good weekend of fights, I'm most looking forward to Eblen vs Tokov.

But to answer the question I think Rinya, Taira and Korean Tiger are three of the best prospects in the sport, so I'll go for UFC on this question even though the Bellator card is better overall.

Isaev the prospect. 9 fights, 9.

to be fair to bellator, if we treat Eblen with 12 fights as a prospect...

With that said, I'm pulling for Tokov. Hopefully he pulls it off.

You're really high on Lee, I look forward to seeing how he does. Another high level Korean would be nice.

He's a monster early, remains to be seen what he's like in deep waters but time will tell. But massive power, athletic, dangerous grappler, big bastard for the weight, dude has a lot going for him.

hypothetical that is

IF

since Eblen is a better fighter than anyone on UFC card.

I wouldn't pick Eblen to beat Whittaker personally but I would take Eblen over Izzy and Pereira. I think there's other potentially tough matchups for Eblen in the UFC too like Vettori, Khamzat and a few others potentially.

But hey, I'll say this, the winner of Eblen vs Tokov and Salamu vs Gasanov, either could very well be the best MW in the world right now.

Maybe Doo Ho Choi will make a come back. UFC gave him the most winnable fight possible. Let's see if he can come through.

The very best in the entire sport? That's high praise. Looks like JMMA will have definitely have their champions and it's about damn time. Lee has shown himself to be a good striker and true BJJ black belt, but his takedown defense leaves things to be desired and we've yet to see his striking defense and stamina. Who knows, maybe he is better than Tae Kyun Kim. Taira is too green and Rinya is too raw, I'm a bit skeptical on Taira in particular. What makes you so confident in Taira?

I meant fighters from today's cards lol

because @Hellowhosthat favored UFC's, and I said IF Eblen was a prospect Bellator's might be better, and then said he was better fighter than anyone on that card

but with that said, unless Mousasi was washed up, Eblen that I saw against Mousasi is a monster. I wouldn't count him out against anybody, and would favour him against Izzy and Alex. Whitaker will always be difficult for someone like Eblen. Khamzat is BFF with Rob for a reason, I think.

Hope to see those guys soon in UFC.
