Two very competitive performances, Santos came closer according to the judges and also fought with an injury, although you could easily argue that Reyes won the first 3 rounds of his fight (which surprised me massively, I was expecting Reyes to look like a deer in the headlights).

Who would you say has a better chance to beat Jones in the rematch? I'd say Reyes probably, Jones underestimated Santos and won't make that mistake again, also Santos is a lot older and will be coming back from a significant injury. Reyes is much younger in his career and this was his first taste of a 5 rounder.

They won't give either a rematch. This is a rigged game.

Both of them beat Jones in a rematch.

Hahaha, all valid points. Seriously though if Jones doesn't move up (he's not going to, totally dodged the question when Rogan asked him what's next) then you'd think they'd have to make one of those fights. Who else is in line?

Yeah, I can't imagine anyone else at LHW getting a fight TBH.

Ifs it not Reyes or Santos, they might try to make Oezdemir-Jones just cause he's one of the few top 10 that has yet to fight him.

Yeah plus arguably he beat Reyes. The memory of DC demolishing him is hard to erase however.

It's funny I see DC destroying these guys that Jones is eeking out decisions against.

Jones is going to be fighting the winner of Cory vs Jan next btw.

When a fighter says 'I have to talk to my team' about who's next it translates to 'I just lost and dont wanna do that again'...

So the answer is next is either Smith or OSP... we wont see a rematch for either, it took him about 5 to 6 years to rematch a completely done version of Gus'

Well, Reyes DID beat Jones, Santos didn't. Mostly Jones haters blinded by hate can give Santos that fight. Reyes definitely has the better shot since he looked like on another level compared to Santos. Jones once again looked pretty mediocre compared to before and I wonder if it's age, USADA or arrogance. In this last fight, Jones at least TRIED to take his opponent down. I think if they rematch, Jones better come prepared like he did in Gus 2 and he should be able to beat them both convincingly. Another "I'll go slow for 3 rounds, then edge you later in the fight" will not hold up forever.

I'd like to see a rematch of either of them. I think it will give the most accurate measure of the skillset of all three fighters. Who can make the most meaningful adjustments after spending 25 minutes in the octagon with each other.

His record in rematches is pretty impressive!
