Besides Serra obviously. Who gave GSP the best run for his money??? In recent events.:redface:
 
Well, even though he was outpointed, Shields came pretty damn close to blinding GSP in one eye. I'm pretty sure if the ref had been aware of the damage that Shields had done to GSP's eyes, it could have potentially been stopped.
 
Firas Zahabi said Shields was his toughest fight so far. His awkward swipe striking was hard for GSP to time. His riddum was off.

But yeah ^ Penn made him look pretty ugly and smashed GSP's face up.
 
Shields took two rounds off him, don't think anyone else can say that.
 
BJ Penn 1 or the Condit fight. Penn sent GSP to the hospital and Condit made GSP look like he got out of a car crash.

Anyone remember the Mayhem fight? Man, not really a beating but maybe one of the funnest grappling matches I've seen.

He was slippery in the 2nd fight. The 1st fight I think he just got his shit pushed in the 1st round, 2nd and 3rd was mostly GSP stalling against the fence or some shit IIRC.

As far as very most recent events, definitely Condit. A++ head kick, probably would have knocked out almost any other welterweight.
