i used to like comedies when i was a kid. not anymore. I watch mostly serious movies now and watching comedy movies piss me off when someone does something stupid. Am i the only one who does not enjoy comedy anymore?

rape ''victims''.

I'm just joking with em.

But yes, it is harder to watch comedies now, because they just are not as good as some of the classics. Maybe it's the lack of originality, or that unless you're touching on current issues, everything has been talked about before to death.

Me too. I hate it when the fights go to the ground.

I feel the opposite. I really can't get into dramas these days. Serious movies can be vapid, too. But they don't make you laugh so why watch it?

2 guns was ok and so are action comedies just no pure comedy movies

Yea, most comedies are "silly". I still get a laugh out of some but for the most part I am not a big fan any. Unless it's a Tyler Perry movie because he is the greatest comedy mind of our generation.

With so many being made, im hard pressed to believe that there aren't gems in those that make you laugh. There has to be humor in something for everyone.

Grown Ups got a sequel. So enjoying comedies isn't that easy.

I feel about comedies the same as I feel about softcore Skinemax type movies. A sex scene in an otherwise "serious" movie is cool, but a movie of entirely said scenes with to cover for a lack of plot, themes etc. is just lazy pandering. And being told when to laugh is just insulting.

I have no problem with comedic beats or moments of levity in othewise serious movies and shows. Satire and dry wit are cool though.

I still really enjoy them, but I dont go to the cinema for one often. Last one was Ted.

I like comedies for the reason that they don't take themselves seriously. I enjoy dramas as well, the problem is most of them do take themselves seriously but still leave gaping holes when it comes to creating a believable plot/characters.

Grown ups 2 is the worst comedy movie of all time. Period. Even Evil Dead is funnier. The last movie I found absolutely hilarious was TED but I was high.

Honestly stand-up has kind of ruined comedies for me. I get to where I'd rather listen to a good stand up comedian then some new comedies.

They're still some good ones out there that I LOL at. Not saying there isn't.

I watched Hangover III last night and maybe laughed 3 or 4 times, and that's being generous.

That was a good one. I laughed pretty hard at it and I really am not a big Seth MacFarlane fan.

This Is The End gave me some laughs too. Mostly because of Danny McBride.

I absolutely loved and laughed.. my ass off at the first Hangover. 2 was a real disappointment. Didnt even bother with 3.
