Conor shouldn't even be talked about for a title shot until he can beat at least two LWs in the top 10 at 155, not at 170.

Under no circumstances does Beneil "Marxist Ideologies" Dariush deserve a title shot. That guy is a cringelord who can't sell fights and will fold to elite fighters like Poirier or Gaethje.

Well, it's definitely Gaethje, and even though I think Gaethje should've done more to earn a title shot, he's far from being the worst title-challenger we've seen in recent years. Plus, he'll be ready to fight Oliveira sooner than either Conor or the Benny D/Islam winner.

Conor is a money fight. While he deserves it least , Justin lost to Dustin and while a good win over Chandler he to got stopped by Charles. Justin in the lead but Dariush n Islam will offer a challenge contender in a while. Dustin should get a fight off against Justin for title shot. If Conor is gonna fight someone like Ferg then he needs another fight after that before a TS makes sense. Maybe he gets the loser of Islam/Beneil. If he can win both of those he's got some credibility back. Can't see it happening though, if he beats Ferg he probably gets another shot just for the PPV buys.

Makes me sad anybody would support Conor getting a title shot. The championships desperately need to regain some credibility instead of being used as props for money fights. Conor is 1-3 at Lightweight with all stoppage losses and no wins in more than 5 years. Literally every other ranked fighter is more deserving.

Gaethje only has the one rebound win. I don’t really see the supposed immediate need for him challenging for the title again.

Dariush/Islam, is a legit title eliminator. The winner will be on an 8 or a 10 fight win streak. They fight in Feb and can fight for the title in the Summer. UFC seems already booked through March as it is.

Justin's loss to Dustin means nothing at this stage! Was an absolute war that could of went either way, Justin is alot more methodical in his approach these days.
Dustin literally just fought Charles for the title and lost, having him in an eliminator with Justin, at this stage, is silly talk.
Justin fights Charles next for the title, the winner or Islam/Beneil fights for the title after that.
It's pretty simple matchmaking at this stage, if Conor somehow manages to get the shot over Justin or Islam/Beneil winner the sport will become a mockery
