Torres barely pulled it out but I think rose is hotter so i voted for her.

you gave a draw in the most clear round that tecia won almost 10-8? gj

Ok sir, Whatever drugs our are on should not be taken while scoring fights. That may have been the farthest thing from being an almost 10-8 round.

Clear 29-28 for Rose in my opinion (rounds 1 and 2)

Tecia did not almost win round 3 by a score of 10-8.

Close fight. Rose won the second; Tecia won the third. The first could have been scored either way depending on what factors you weigh more heavily. If you saw it as a very even round, then the takedown sealed it for Rose. If you think Tecia had Rose hurt, then that sealed it for Tecia. But Rose was only wobbled for a split second. It's possible to make too much of it.

I'd have scored it 29-28 Torres, but I don't have any deep-seated issue with a fight that close going the other way.

I fail to see how anyone gives the nod to Rose.
Tecia pretty clearly won 1 and 3.
And for total stats, 48 strikes vs 93, guess who.

Neither fighter outscored the other at a 2 to 1 rate in striking. Where did you get those numbers? I bet total strikes are nearly identical. Rose looked like she threw a bit more but Tecia landed a somewhat higher percentage.

The thing is Tecia was a little bit behind (imo) in round one and while the hook that hit Rose was probably the strongest strike of the round, it didn't drop her nor did Rose look hurt.

Kinda hard for me to give the round to Tecia considering the stand up was fairly close (outside the one shot) and that Namajunes got the td with top control to finish out the round

Edit: repetitive words

Rose did look hurt in that her legs momentarily gave out. The only reason she didn't hit the canvas is that she was holding on to Torres. So while the stand up was pretty even before Torres almsot dropped Rose, it wasn't afterwards.

I'm not saying the takedown should count for nothing, but late takedowns where the fighter on top does nothing with it shouldn't weigh heavily imo. Torres landed more punches from the bottom than rose did from the top on both takedowns. I don't usually weigh strikes from the bottom to be worth much, but it shows how little GnP Rose uncorked.

So round 1 goes to Rose if you were more impressed by the takedown and to Torres if you were more impressed by her wobbling Rose. I picked Torres, but I think the opposite view is valid. It's just one of those super close fights.

I thought Tecia won the first and third round.

In the first she landed the bigger punches and better kicks, often countering missed punches with really good low kicks while Rose retreated. She stunned her with a good punch in that round. It was a competitive round but I think Tecia took it.

Rose won the second clearly.

I thought Tecia won the third pretty clearly. She landed more punches and kicks, Rose only really landed one good right hand in that round and the takedown had nothing.

The juding criteria states that if the majority of the round is striking then the striking is weighed more heavily. Not a robbery and maybe I need to rewatch (I probably won't) but I thought TT should have gotten that decision.

Felt like TTT was fighting not to lose in RD3 rather than fighting to win, so I was hoping Rose would get the nod. Thought Torres might have edged it, though (then again, that could of been Joe's biased commentary affecting my judgment).

Rose, what, why is this even a thread? Rose won rds 1 & 2 for sure imo

WAR NAMAJUNAS BABY

That's how I felt about the fight. Tecia 1 & 3 but every round close.

Interesting point on the judging.

Fun fight to watch either way.

I had Rose 29-28 but the first round was close. It was one of those fights that could have been scored for either of them. Pretty uneventful to be honest.

Fightmetric.

29 - 28 for rose

BTW tecia is hot as hell

115 division has added lots of hotness to the UFC

I only voted draw because I am fine with either one. I do however feel like Rose had a look of defeat during the official decision.
