Who do you think is the bigger money fight Diaz or Thompson?

He has fought & beaten top guys.

Apart from that; Woodley & others
like him are taking note of the way
the business is being ran. The org
does not care about fighters well
being and longevity. They're in it for
the short term. So they have to play
their own advocate, essentially.

Woodley is doing what any real family
man would do...looking out for his own.

Who has he fought and beaten that could be considered top wins recently? In fact in his entire career?

Keep in mind Woodley is asking to fight in one month. He doesn't have to do that.

It's my opinion. & Woodley's as well.
From the post fight press conference:
"I think he's a top 5 WW all time."

The point is neither here nor there...
It's why I didn't expound upon it;
Ultimately, it doesn't matter what either
of us think about Nick's standing.

So what's the focus of discussion?
Your opinion that Diaz isn't relevant?
Or that you can't see the perspective
of fighters who double as family men
who worked their way to the top
& rightfully use their leverage for
their financial advantage?

Opinions don't mean shit when you're a known duckartist like Woodley. How can Diaz be considered a top 5 WW of all time when he hasn't got a single top 5 WW win to his name?

You're entitled to your opinion and so is Woodley, and I can respect that he wants to get paid. I also admit that Nick Diaz is a top 10 all time welterweight. I can acknowledge all of these perspectives.

That doesn't change the fact that his last win was back in 2011 when he beat a fat lightweight tho. Why don't we give fucking Matt Hughes a title shot too? Top 5 all time welterweight, last win in 2010. Money fight. Wow, makes all the sense in the world.

you're a nobody on sherdog who
has to question two champion fighter's
legitimacy when they're the only two
to finish Robbie fucking LAWLER by
strikes.

Get a grip dude.
Start a thread if you're butt is that hurt.
Make your opinion "mean" a couple of "likes"...

Because Matt Hughes has no
stake in fights against the current
elite of the division. At least Nick has
knocked out Robbie, fought Condit in
a close fight & has wins over 3 former
UFC champions... he also can't really
sell a fight. So no, it's not really a
money fight...

The question you should be asking is who's the bigger money fight for Diaz. It's almost certainly not Woodley.

Diaz has never been a UFC champion and never will be. Woodley can talk all the shit he wants. He can't duck Wonderboy forever.

Robbie Lawler isn't some god btw. By concensus he is lucky to have even been champ let alone defending champion vs. Woodley.

Nick Diaz is a drug addict

while Wonderboy can do this to a former champ

Oh, so you got a hard on for WB...
Well, maybe Wonderboy should've
been brushing up on his mic skills
after dispatching Hendricks, or after
taking Rory to a decision. Woodley
took note of how the business is ran.
Thompson should, too.

& about Diaz never being a champ...
All it takes is one punch.
& Diaz knows how to punch...

& No, Lawler ISN'T some god. But he
is a handful in the stand up, against
even the best strikers. Woodley & Diaz
finished him in his own realm.

I'm not a fanboy of any fighter. I'm a fanboy of deserving fighters getting title shots after working hard not duckartists calling out anyone but legit contenders.

I agree dude. But that's not the
UFC's blueprint for business.

Or capitalism in general, for that
matter. Short term profit always
takes precedence.

The thing is, moneyfights are important for the sport, but Woodley is in no codition to demand anything, build up your name first, either by talking or winning, than you can demand the fight you want

Diaz is obviously the bigger money fight

I'm not disagreeing with you re: business but that's the reason why MMA and in particular the UFC will never be recognised as a mainstream sport/org IMO. Too much BS WWE-ism catering to fairweather fans.

This doesn't look like "BS WWE-ism"
to me:

My only gripe about Woodley
was that he rarely finished fights.
He's turning that around obviously
& as long as he keeps it up, I really
dgaf who he fights.

Wonderboy isn't going anywhere.
Hell, if he sits on a win and Maia
loses... who knows what Diaz will
be doing. A title shot is not out of
the question yet.

Keep in mind Woodley is asking to fight in one month. He doesn't have to do that.

how generous of him to ask to fight on one month's notice against a guy coming off a suspension. 0% chance of it happening, diaz brothers don't fight on the same card

Don't you think its ridiculous that he would even have to do that to get a title shot when he's the only one deserving of it in the entire division?

No. The division is a shark tank...
Even Woodley recognized this play.

Plus, Maia says otherwise.
It should truly be WB vs Maia
for the #1 contender's spot.
