Alot of people on here don't feel Beating diaz should allow silva another shot at the Belt. i personally do but obviously thats my opinion and not everyone shares them. my Question for all you naysayers out there is, if you were going to have silva prove himself in the division to prove he was ready to fight weidman again. Who would it be and why? who would truly put silva to test in that division and show he deserves a shot if he beats them.

Edit: Just fixed the wordplay a bit. Doesn't have to be one person if you feel he needs to take out a few to be worth of a shot.

Anybody really. I don't like the idea of 2 guys who haven't won in their last 2 fights deciding the next title challenger, especially when there's guys like Rockhold, Souza and Romero doing well in the division.

Rockhold, Jacare, Machida, Romero, Kennedy, Mousasi. Any of these guys.

Beating a WW who hasn't won a fight since 2011 shouldn't get you a title shot

He shouldn't get another shot at Weidman.

If Belfort destroys Weidman and Silva beats Diaz, Silva-Belfort 2 is the money fight to make tho.

funny, i thought most's people issue with silva getting the fight was he only had to beat one guy to do it. Seems like most of you would just takeanyone else thats actually in the division.

i figured everyone had an individual in mind whom they thought could beat silva before he even got to weidman or would at least prove he deserved to fight him if he came out triumphant.

Machida if he beats Rockhold, despite of their feelings. Others, who are also booked, are new contenders for Weidman.

Anderson/Weidman 3 anyhow is dumb. What if he loses again? Rather have some fun fights fans have wanted to see for a long time. Like a fight with Shogun or Rampage.

He needs to show that he deserves a 3rd fight. Beating a welterweight doesnt do that. If weidman was no longer champ it would be easier for him.

I don't think he needs to beat anyone. I also don't think he should go for the title. He's too old. Just do fun fights.

If the former champ would beat a top contender, I don't think most people would have any problem other than that they are tired of the constant rematches.

Anyone? No. A top fighter in the actual weight class in question? Yes.

I don't really think Silva wants to fight for the title again, though, and I don't blame him. Let the old legend get a few fun matchups instead of throwing him a third time against the Chris.

As long as he really thinks he can be competitive and take the Belt ill always watch his fights and believe in him, but i understand im in the minority there as a die hard fan. that being said i definitely think if weidman drops him again i would hope he'd retire.

Sorry meant to say almost anyone, the way i put it makes it seem like im saying you guys think any old person will do, i just meant i thought most people had a"this guy would wreck silva easily" scenario in their head, and actually just wanted to see him fight a decent person in his proper weight class.
