    Glover.

Did you see what Rashad's wrestling did to Phil? And what Jones' wrestling did to Rashad's?

I'm not the one to use MMath, but I'm using it here to compare skill. Jones would just have his way with Phil.

Not to mention that Glover is on a bigger streak and is more impressive.

Davis lost bad to Rashad, decisioned a couple of cans, and robbed Machida. I wouldn't give Davis a #1 contender's fight even.

Davis has the more impressive resume, however he lost a title eliminator, which imo sets him back behind Glover, and he had a controversial win in his last, too.

I agree, while on paper Davis is certainly close to next in line I think he needs more time to work on his skills.

Machida was a better win than Bader, but Glover has been on a longer win streak than Phil. In addition, it was established Glover had next before UFC 165.

Who does Gus face next? Phil? Perhaps Cormier?

    MMA wrestling dont work either.

Rashad caught Davis on the counter. Rashad is a great wrestler, but he has a much lower center of balance than Jones. Jones has a different wrestling game, but if he starts giving up a leg to Davis he will be eating canvass in seconds.

It really doesnt work how you think it does on that one.

Go back and rewatch the Rashad fight. Rashad had a low center of balance, very good wrestling, a nice striking deterent and a great combination game. He didnt finish the fight, but he schooled the young contender.

Jones is a long rangey athlete with great greco roman and judo, but Davis is a far worse wrestling match up for him than Rashad, because of the power, and a far worse wrestling match up than Rashad is for Davis.

Davis lost his last fight, he's not even close to the title shot.

He subbed Prado and won via decision against Machida in a close fight.

    Get over it.

Davis has beat 3 people in the current top 10.

Glover has beaten none of them.

    Dickheads :D

Jones just got out wrestled by a striker.

Glover needs a decent top 10 win, and even he realises this.

Davis is the highest ranked fighter not to have had a shot.

The same people laughing at him now, could very well be the i told you so's when he turns JJ into road kill.

To be honest, I rather see Davis in there, I can't even really say Glover deserves it more either, but no one was expecting Davis to be getting a title shot after his last fight.

    Deserves? It's Davis easily.

Who I would rather see? Glover, I think it would make a more exciting fight.
