It seems that Cody Garbrandt has this disturbing inability to see what's going wrong with his style and training and is unable to adapt. Given how exciting he looked in the road to being UFC champ, it's become downright painful seeing how much Dillashaw has left him in his dust since leaving the Alpha Males behind. It seems he may be destined for one of the worst downward spirals we've ever seen, as in becoming a divorced, drug addicted, total wreck, a more extreme example of Mike Tyson during his worst years without the obscene pro boxing wealth to back him up. He's never gonna have anything for TJ until he gets to be far enough past his prime that he can't move well enough, possibly setting up a Rampage Wanderlei 3 type scenario, but it seems as likely his fight career at anything remotely near contender level is over. At least, it is if he doesn't leave TAM behind and waits until they place their interest in younger up and comers instead.

Sad to see Cody lose twice to an obviously inferior fighter. Cody didn't go after Cruz like such an idiot but his emotions cost him huge. He won't get to fight TJ again unless way down the road when both are past their primes.

So if you get knocked out twice in 3 rounds you are the superior fighter?
I guess Franklin was superior to AS all this time...

Btw having control over your emotions is an important part of being a fighter.
The worth of a fighter doesn't get measured in his talent or potential, but his ability to win fights.

Dillashaw is the inferior fighter, but knocked Cody out twice?<{walkerwhut}>

I think Cody is the second best 135 pounder on the planet, still, and TJ is just that much better... That's all...

Its Sherdog brah
To TS's point, so a mid level bellator can outclass arguably the greatest BW of all time and become the UFC champ?

Guy is obviously immensely talented but he needs a new coach or maybe even a sports psychologist. His problems are mostly mental.

Really Man..?

Cody needs to take a page out of TJ's book and take a break from Team Alpha Male and try another flavor and different way...
