Max Holloway is fighting this weekend and I thought to myself: he should consider retiring.

Why: he can’t possibly beat the current top featherweight (Volkanovski) and he has taken a lot of damage in his career.
I think he should retire while still being among tops of the division and still be in the conversation of the GOATs of the division. His chin will crack and it may be downhill from there.
Max is one of my favorite fighter and I just hope he doesn’t become a shell of himself like some many greats who stayed for too long (like Anderson Silva).

Here is my top 3:
1-Max Holloway
2-Kumaru Usman : looked great in his last fight but his age and knee might start to catch up on him.
3-Jan Błachowicz : he’s 40y already. He had his title run where he was extremely close of winning. I don’t think he can improve from there.

Who you got?

Those that want to consider retiring,
should seriously consider retiring.

Those that do not, should not.

Lol.

Max is just 31, it would be ridiculous for him to retire now. Volkanovski is 34, so he might retire before Max, giving Max a chance at holding the belt again.

We gotta see Usman’s next fight to see where he’s at. Right now it seems that Leon just got his number.

Jan is a bit old yes, but he had the most success very late in his career. If he can make 185 safely, he could be a real problem there for everyone. Let’s see

But Lewis is still fighting at the highest level, despite not fighting at a high level
