This is a trick question those who never defend their title aren't really champions.
 
It doesn't fucking matter.

Defend or die.

There have been some good ones. But I'm completely old school. If you don't defend you were never a champ to begin with. Especially in this sport. Anybody can beat anybody else on any given night ( Within their divisions ).

I do know the top two fails at defending though.
 
Frank Mir. A case can be made for Werdum as well.
