Who are the best and worst presidents of all time?

I posted this already but predictably it got ignored-

Obama wasn't divisive? Here's what Obama's own CnN had to say-

Overall, 54% say relations between blacks and whites have gotten worse since Obama became president, including 57% of whites and 40% of blacks. That's up sharply compared with last June, when 43% said things had gotten worse shortly after a racially motivated shooting at a black church in Charleston, South Carolina.

The share describing discrimination against blacks generally as a very serious problem has inched up from 37% last June to 42% now, a high point during Obama's time in office. Much of the recent shift comes among whites, 34% of whom now see it as a very serious problem, up from 28% last June. Among blacks, that figure has softened somewhat and remains starkly higher than the share among whites, 80% said it was a very serious problem in June 2015 and 73% say so now.

Cnn said so. 40% of blacks polled said so. Oh but you know better , right @nac386 ? Probably you saw some graph or something right?

The FACT is, race relations got worse under Obama and its one of the most dangerous and divisive issues facing this country right now.

Calling Obama "divisive"? He's about as square, plain, and inoffensive as any president we have ever had. Name a President, any President, and compare their wildest remarks. Obama is not a divisive speaker at all.

And don't start with the "ha, I was expecting that" as if I'm ever the type to not explain myself. I'm on my phone now, that's all.
I'll allow you to respond to my last post before I respond to this.

And you didn't explain yourself. You attempted to derail the discussion with a snide remark.

Let me just say, there has never been a president that was revered from all corners. Obama is just the first one that everyone gets all emotional about defending.

Best: George Washington or Andrew Jackson

Worst: LBJ, Obama, or George W. Bush

I will say it again, I am now on my cell phone.

You are saying that Obama was divisive because race relations became worse during the eight years that he was president.

I completely reject the idea that race relations became worse because of something that Obama did or said. Culture has a natural flow to it and things were going to hit a boiling point eventually due to police brutality and Obama just happened to be the president when everybody started recording it on cell phones.

Which President was to blame for the race riots in 1992? Bush? Clinton? Or maybe that was just out of their control, since they do not make police officers beat the shit out of people or decide to riot.

Obama was thoughtful in his approach. It was not within his control, and he knew that. He could not tell the black community everything was fine, because everything is not fine. So he said what I posted earlier, which is that "The overwhelming majority of police officers do an incredibly hard and dangerous job fairly and professionally."

He penned this very thoughtful letter:

But he's not going to lie and say, "Hey everyone, it's all in your head, nothing is wrong" because that's a lie. He often ran into the problem of being too thoughtful for a mostly simple crowd.

What an utter load of bullshit. Reagan was/is worshipped by the right to the extent that many want to put him on currency.

You're under the logical fallacy that a sitting President is directly responsible for every trend that happens under his watch. Race relations got worse because white bigots couldnt stand a black man running this country and they lost their shit. Chief among them Mitch McConnell who said (before Obama even set foot in the Whitehouse) "my #1 job is to make sure that Obama is a one term president". Maybe if your side didnt question whether Obama was Muslim or an American citizen race relations wouldnt have gotten so bad.

Oh man, I'm throwing in the towel here.

You guys and your hero worship, wow. For me, Obama wasn't good. A look at society pre and post Obama tells me the same. I'm middle class, the left is bad for the middle class. I don't know what to tell you. Walmart jobs and government sanctioned insurance aren't really checks in the win column for me. We have different views of what we want from America I guess.

Best: President Commancho

Worst: Evil ax murdering hologram Lincoln.

Best: JFK, Lincoln and Trump
Worst: Harding, GW and Obama

Trump will have the top spot by the end of his second term

The problem is that none of that has to do with his performance as president. Crucially, people who say Washington is the greatest never actually point to his policies, and instead rely on his pre-presidency personal history.

By those standards, Ulysses Grant should be one of the GOATs.

Your post made me curious so I googled his accomplishments as president and found an interesting article

"George Washington established the tradition of a cabinet of advisors...
...
Washington signed into law the first copyright law...
...
Washington set precedents for the social life of the president...
...
President Washington personally led troops into the field to stop the Whiskey Rebellion..."
