I don't want to derail the thread too much but I will say I'm not even completely opposed to that idea when it comes to rape. The issue is that accepting that seems to me a tacit acceptance of a fundamental difference between men and women and it seems that would go against what most feminists believe about gender equality. So if you want to structure the law that way I think it can lead to some other gender double standards and it would be quite suspicious if they only leaned in favor of women.Yep I use feminism as an example of this. Some feminist seriously wanted it to be that if a man and women got drunk and had sex the man was a rapist. Not all of them think that though.
