White Belts with Cool Gi's

now i understand why the guys who have been on this forum more than 2 or 3 years rarely post anymore. after a while the threads just repeat themselves over and over...

Probably because they're training instead of worrying about their gi and running to the internet for reassurance.
 
My coach only told me one thing about gis:

"Don't get a black gi when you start, a black gi and white belt make you look like a damn skunk!"
 
Buy whatever gi you want as long as it doesnt violate any school code such as (only instructors can wear black... etc) keep in mind only blue/black/white are usually competition legal so dont go and buy a camo gi or tiedye your gi.

All I know is that 9/10 you get what you paid for. If its a popular brand and costs 150$ and sells all the time then it must be worth the money. I started with a crappy $50 judo gi. You notice the difference.
