White: Anderson will fight in 2014

I think Anderson Silva should retire, Anderson has nothing to prove he was one of the greatest fighters of all time and he's thirty eight years old. In my opinion he should just heal up his leg and just be with his family.

He loves to fight and probably wants to go out on his own terms.

He should get some good fun fights like Bisping or Cung le etc. Not really any more tough fights like Weidman or Jones or TRTor or anything like that.

Why's Dana trying to add the pressure ? I mean yeah he's recovering fast and will be able to walk but....He and Anderson have no idea how his leg will feel after even light training.

I want to see him back and I know he's getting old but the pain from an injury like that may never go away. So just because he'll be able to walk doesn't mean he'll be fully recovered especially with mobility.

I'd hate for them to get a fight set up and have Andy pull out a couple weeks before due to his leg.

Dana should just confirm the superfight with Silva and GSP already. We all know it's coming, it's the year of the superfights!

Yeah but he loves it too much.

Most likely this came straight from Anderson. Not likely Dana would have said this otherwise

Dana has no idea. He is very early in his recovery, things can change quickly. But that's Dana, don't think just speak, always promoting and having people talking. Right wrong or indifferent, he is good at getting people talking.

That wouldn't be a super fight anymore, neither guy is champ

Yes it would.... Don't necessarily need to be 2 champs to be superfights. But I guess that's a matter of opinion of what each individual considers is a superfight.
I would say that the 2 most dominant fighters in the history of their weight classes 1 year to 18 months removed from their reign (one whom took a break voluntarily as the champ) could be as much as a superfight as any, but that's just one man's opinion.
Maybe the whole notion is stupid, maybe a fight is just a fight and that's it.....?

It always seems like Dana's pushing Anderson in front of a moving car.

I know he's not, I know Anderson makes his own decisions ultimately, and I'm always on here defending Dana for most of what he says, but his intensity when he says 'Anderson will fight' over the last year seems a little forward.

 So basically give him the easisest fights possible without ever testing him. He got a broken leg, he isn't an amputee. I don't understand the babying of Anderson, he was the "GOAT" just a year ago to you now poor Anderson should only fight favorable matchups against mediocre Comp (Like he hasn't had enough of those). I understand fighting one of them for his first fight back (Anderson will, that's his M.O) but after that he should step up to fun fights Shogun/Anderson Rashad/Anderson TRT Vitor/ANderson etc etc

Let's see what happens. Last week it was "he's gonna fight RJJ - no ifs, ands or buts". Changes every week.

I don't see who he has to fight other than GSP or Jones (pray this doesn't happen, for the sake of Silva's life).

A 3rd fight with Weidman I suppose. The UFC would be the biggest joke in the world if he doesn't have to fight a contender before a 3rd fight.

But Machida is in that division now. Does he even want to be at MW (given that)?

Hard to see what his plans/purpose would be - other than to have those novelty superfights. (no belts involved)
