As a relatively new fan, fight pass has allowed me to watch all of the old classic fights and learn about the history of MMA. Unfortunately, unless you were paying attention at the time, you miss out on the various pre-fight media and press. Watching the UFC 232 presser today just blew my mind and left me wondering how Jonny Bones could be such a brilliant martial artist and be such an absolutely terrible trash talker! So I wanted to ask some of the old(er) heads: What were some memorable press conferences? Which of the past UFC champions were great entertainers on the mic, and who were the fellas talking like straight cavemen?

Best - Rampage

Worst - Frank Mir ( vs Brock II )

Worst is Conor

Best was Fedor and GSP

Trash talkers: Rampage, Wanderlei Silva, Josh koscheck, BJ Penn, C.Sonnen, Nick Diaz, Diego Sanchez, Cowboy, Conor McGregor, Tito Ortiz and couple of others use to trash talk..

One of the greatest trash talker was Walid Ismail in my opinion just thinking about it makes me laugh..

Conor and Chael are pretty good.

Colby is just a straight up fucking clown.

I guess if you're one of those idiot teenagers who think trash talking is cool you'd see it the opposite.
well the topic of the thread is about trash talking and who is the best and worst at it.

from your post I either take it as you were joking or you dont have a fucking clue...... pretty sure its one of the 2

In terms of champs

Rampage is probably the most underrated MMA personality. BJ Penn was an underrated trash talker imo.
Tito was less of a joke years ago.

made a couple shoops so i guess it was kinda justified
lol
yeah I was going to add in brackets that I have no idea what you got carded for lol

was just fucking with you ;)

Regardless of the Conor haters which comprise 75% of the Sherdog posters, that guy put talking shit on the map for real. Before that Chael Sonnen was destroying fools hard too but Conor brought the gusto Chael lacked. Then you got legends like the Diaz brothers who are charmingly ghetto. Lastly, you have Colby Covington. Like the guy or not, the guy knows how to piss people off and make people want to pay to watch him get his head kicked in otherwise known as being an EFFECTIVE trash talker.

they were pretty fucking edgy and i definitely should have been punished by perhaps getting banned from that section of sherdog or at least a warning but i dont think i should of been yellow carded, let alone twice but hey thats just my bias opinion, lol

I was being intentionally puckish.
I just think that the obsession with trash talking is stupid. I like MMA because it involves two men who can combat with fists, not their words.

The trash talking has become much worse than in used to be and I feel it has brought in the worst type of fans.

Match making suffers too as fighters are judged more by their amount of Twitter followers than by how they perform.
