Which Shogun loss left you more bummed out, OSP or JBJ?

The OSP ko left me more bummed. Although the Jones fight was brutal, his technique was too good for me to get butthurt. Plus, im always excited for New champions.

But yeah Sherdog felt like a funeral the day after OSP/Shogun. How was the reaction to JBJ?

by the time sonnen happened or OSP happened -- I was so desensitized to my favorite fighters losing, it didn't really hit me that hard. Like CroCop losing to Cheik Kongo or any other fighter in the UFC, after Gonzaga, what did it matter?

Shogun had come all the way back to the top after losing to FORREST... FUCKING... GRIFFIN!!! In his UFC debut... dude our Pride MW GP winner loses to Mr. TUF !!! WHAT THE FUCK!! Dana was laughing his ass off -- it was horrible for all of us fans of the one true king of MMA, Pride. Devastating. But then he comes back... he KO's Liddell,.. BOOM! He gets robbed by Machida but he looked good, then he knocks him the fuck out. YES! THE SHOGUN ERA HAS BEGUN IN THE UFC.

Then Bones destroys him because of his ungodly bodily proportions.

May God have mercy on us all.

I remember that fight and I was hyping Shogun so much before it, I had bet money on that fight, I was so invested as a fan, my friends were just casuals and they were going crazy when Shogun is getting destroyed... right after the fight they looked at me and just left. Like, I was so salty after that dude. And they could tell and got the fuck out.


OSP doesn't even compare.

I watched Jones vs shogun with a bunch of shogun fans. One of them got tears in his eyes. It was hilarious.

The Bones fight was an eye-opener, but then we'd already seen how Shogun fights off of a surgery lay-off before, in his terrible performance against a 573 yo Coleman, so it wasn't unexpected he wouldn't look like prime Shogun.

The loss to OSP was worse, because he after dominating Hendo in their rematch his technique looked so sloppy against OSP.

OSP loss was the funniest for sure if only to hear Brazilian fans chant you're gonna die at the top of their lungs to completely silent in a matter of seconds.
