Winner of DC vs Hendong eventually gets a title shot. Probably against Jonny Bones. Which of these two ppvs sells better? I think the DC fight would be more competitive but Hendong is more popular

DC for both, but Hendo beating DC with his fanbase would make it a good sell too. DC vs Jones will do great numbers though

JBJ might not even have the belt after the Gus fight.

JBJ will not lose the LHW title in the near future, barring a spectacular KO. No fighter is invincible, but he doesn't have the competition in his division at the moment, hence why DC had to drop to get some guys in there.

And DC won't win either, he'll get picked apart on the feet due to reach.

Hendo for sure. Hendo beating DC and fighting JBJ is a cinderella story, especially since Hendo is the most accomplished MMA fighter ever to come out of USA and one of the oldest active ones. Dana could promote this one into a blockbusting PPV without breaking a sweat.

DC vs. Jones would be the bigger fight, especially with their somewhat of a rivalry.

I agree it would be a great matchup. But I don't see Hendo getting past DC albiet an H-bomb.

That's not what the thread is about. The thread is about if either of the fighters won, which could be promoted to more PPV buys. Answer is Hendo.

All it takes is for Goldberg to say Cinderella once every two-three sentances and for UFC to make a collage of all the belts Hendo has ever won, closed by a salt-of-the-earth 'Murrican shot of Hendo on his farm or whatever juxtaposed to ****y car wrecking Bones (only shots of him in a taliban beard used) - Money in the bank.

The fact that DC and Jones have beef and it would be played up even more surpasses all that though.

Hendo. We predict buyrates based on past TV viewership and PPV numbers on my site, MMADraws.com and a Jones-Hendo fight with an average undercard (it would have to better than 172's) would do about 450K. DC would do about 425.

I think long-term, the 425 would be better for UFC cause it would establish DC as a viable PPV main eventer, whereas the ship has sailed on Hendo.

Def Hendo vs. JBJ would promote better. They were supposed to fight before, and they can promote the hell out of the H-bomb, especially if he KOs DC with it.

I think Hendo would

The thread says ppv sales not the better fight or more entertaining fight.. The answer is obviously Hendo.. DC is not a household name and has a very weak resume.. In fact the only "elite fighter" he has finished was Big Foot and that wasn't even in the UFC

The fact that DC and Jones have beef and it would be played up even more surpasses all that though.

That doesn't matter at all to your average grab a Bud Light fan.. Anyone who understands ppv sales knows the answer is Hendo.. Of course us hardcore fans would rather Jones-DC

I don't think Cormier is a fan favorite, is he? Hendo probably would bring in a lot more fans. I don't see either being able to beat Jones though.
