These things are supposed to be good for a lot of things.Which do you take on a routinely bases, and what effects has it had for you?:

Green/Black/White Teas
Apple cider vinegar
Mangosteen
Noni
Acai

Any other thing you can think off that is being hyped as a "cure all" basically

I drink green and black tea almost everyday.

I make a tasty dressing with ACV and olive oil.

The rest of that shit is bullshit. Do a search for acai berry, either online or in this forum.

Well, they do what they do, but they are grossly overpriced and their benefits grossly overblown. Imagine a country/region where the people had never had spinach before and one day someone hears about the nutritional properties of it, and started selling spinach to other people in their country for $50 a bunch. That's what mangostene (?) and acai berry are like. In South America they're just another tasty thing on the supermarket shelf, in America they sell for literally 100 times the price.

I have dont the tea thing, i could not tell any difference. I did not really expect to notice a difference though.

I would drink green tea with pre workout food, whether it helped or not who knows

green tea has some caffeine, but it also has taste, which is good.

I have a thing against supplementing with easy to consume food. With all of those things listed, you're eating or drinking. Except in America you pay 100 times the price to do what people in England, South America, and Asia do every day.

Fish oil pills - easier to consume than a ton of fish, cheaper too.

Green/black tea - have a cuppa, delicious with ginger snaps.

Whey - convenient

Apple Cider Vinegar - makes a good salad dressing, rather tasty as a drink on it's own as well.

My wife drank shots of apple cider vinegar for morning sickness. Usually only when she was feeling queasy, but sometimes before we would be away from home for a while. It worked for her.

I can`t say I`ve "taken" any of them but I ate/drunk all. But no I felt no difference and didn`t expect to, just like I don`t expect to feel a difference whenever I have a meal.

I've taken ACV for ~1 year. It helps with acne if you take it with food. It's very similar to cinnamon in that if taken, with food, it delays gastric emptying (food leaving the stomach) and therefore lowers the GI as well as the insulin response to the meal. And there's lots of studies on pubmed that confirm this.

For certain types of acne (ie: mine), it helps a lot. Other than the acne thing, I can't say I've noticed anything really. Though I haven't been "looking" for anything else either.

I've been drinking green tea and black tea for a while. Black tea seems to have a nice calming effect, while the green seems to give me a mental boost.

I've recently begun to drink gunpowder green tea, which is tightly rolled loose leaf tea, there's a BIG difference between that and bagged tea, I would suggest everyone to try it.

I also hear adding a little bit of lemon juice in green tea helps your body absorb more of the good stuff.

ACV works well to quell stomach cramps, indigestion and body odor for those of you who eat curry, don't use deoderant and then hit the gym in a tank top.

Tea's are antioxidants. I substituted No Explode with Laoshan High Mountain Green Tea (brewed hot then chilled overnight), and still had a similar workout, only I sweat with much more intensity.

If you do the Green tea thing, be sure to get the whole leaves from a Chinese supermarket or tea shop. White tea has the highest antioxidant properties but can cost a lot. The best value are the green whole leaves.

i had no idea that green tea contains just as much creatine, caffeine, beta alanine, and sugar as NO EXPLODE!

:D

This cracked me up.

I just took some oats and whey, and supplemented them with some boiling water and then some milk. I also stacked that with cinnamon. I'm also on banana.

I supplement myself with bananas...:icon_cry2

Shoot me an email if you'd like a free sample of my "oat pills". Oat flour for insane absorption in capsules for convenience. No more messy boiling water or dirty-ass spoons whenever you need some oats. I'll send you a free bottle, if you don't like it you can send it back within two weeks.

If you keep it I'll bill your credit card $79.99 twice a month and send you a two-week supply on the 1st and 15th.

Oh, I was taking the piss out of the companies that produce and market these things as wonder products, not you for asking the question.

I take green tea capsules I like them.

No Explode is a placebo effect supplement, as are all N02 supplements. Been discussed here hundreds of times. Caffine and ECGC in Green Tea is what gives you the workout boost. When I lived and trained in China, everyone was just as strong and had the same physique's that they do in the gyms in the US. Except they didn't have access to any types of supplements. Bananas, tea leaves and fish yield the same results.

How come you quoted me?

Because instead of paying ridiculous amounts of money for pills, you can simply boil water and make a cup of green tea for a fraction of the price. People all over the world do this, and have great health without paying for supplements.

Ultimately it comes down to hard work, which it would seem like you tend to avoid, what with all these pills and bananas you've been taking to enhance your body structure.

Noni is what my friend calls his grandma, and the last time I supplemented with her, I couldn't feel my legs wink wink nudge nudge how's yo fatha...

Green tea makes me hyper. ACV is yummy and helps me digest big meals. Acai is expensive and I associate it with a douche at my university who worships it -- so I avoid it.

Some people think vitamin D is a catch-all (or as close as you'll get). I've heard the same of sea vegetables and fish oil. Come to think of it, I should just swim in the ocean with my mouth open.
