Which is worse, signing Punk or setting up Kimbo vs. Shamrock?

Curious to see Sherdogger's opinion on this issue. Who's sunk deeper, the UFC for hiring a WWE guy with no professional background, or Bellator for setting up a shot legend to be brutally beaten by a Youtube celebrity?

Kimbo and Ken are actual fighters. Ken has actually fought more recently than Kimbo. He could defintely snatch up one of Kimbo's bum knees.

We know they are both not good and old and havent won or fought in mma in years.

It's a sad world we live in when we have to make this choice. LOL Signing a 0-0 fighter with no competitive athletic/martial arts background is by far more embarrassing, I think, though.

Unless Punk is some sort of true Rennaissance man, I imagine that it going to be a freak show. Kimbo/Shamrock is just a lower org type of thing to do. They are both legit, whatever Dana has to say about Kimbo but way past their primes and not anywhere close to the top of the sport.

Tough call. I guess the pro wrestler signing since he's never had any amateur or pro fights and he's going to get co-main or main event status. At least Shamrock and Kimbo have had pro fights, even though I doubt Shamrock will actually fight.

Only thing that makes it bad is if they put them above title fights, if Bellator puts title fights below that is a joke. If UFC put Punk above title fights, any title fight male or female its a joke.

If they dont do that then both are fine imo, its business. Dont have to like it or enjoy it but its understandable cash grabs. Just cant get behind them putting it above legit title fights.

bellator is gonna probably do that again like they did with TIto/Bonnar and to me thats the worst thing, far worse than any signing in either org.
