Which fighters were you adamant would be champ one day when in hindsight you can just look back and laugh on?

I remember I used to be adamant that Charles Oliveira was a bad match up for Aldo, I thought he'd cruise past Holloway aswell.

I also used to think Bader was going to smash his way to the top of LHW until he met Mr Jon Jones.

I also thought Thomas Almeida was an absolute animal after the Pickett KO and had the tools to be champ.

Which fighters praises you were singing who you can now look back on and wonder how you guessed their career paths so wrong?

Krzysztof Jotko. I was dazzled by his performance against Leites and then he lost to Branch in a competitive match and then he got knocked out by Hall and it was all downhill from there.

I'm embarrassed to admit this, but I thought Tyson Griffin would be LW champ at one point.

Man relax, I can top that, I also thought Kendall Grove's reach and height would cause issues for anyone in the division.

Jon Jones smh I will never get over how he single handily destroyed LHW division. He was our Goat.

Roger “El Matador” Huerta.

Also, I would’ve liked to have seen Machida have nice long title reign.

Anthony Pettis. I still have that unopened Wheaties box damn it

Rameau Sokoudjou. I saw a lot of potential once upon a time. But man, has he had a terrible career.

Joe Lauzon. Broke into the UFC with an upset KO of Jens Pulver, had some spectacular performances/finishes, but just couldn't keep that momentum consistent.

Almeida was the first guy I thought of. Brandon Thatch started similarly to Darren Till has now, huge WW with nasty striking. He didn't exactly pan out like Till has.

James McSweeny (from TUF with Rampage and Evans as coaches).

Did close to nothing after TUF.

Well, he did have the power and striking of Mike Tyson along with the endurance and heart of Forrest Griffin.

Where to start...

I thought John Makdessi could become a conender, but nope, he got taken down and tapped out.

I thought Michael McDonald would become a champion

These three looked awesome for a while....
Hector Lombard
Uriah Hall
Travis Browne

If only he didn't have the chin of Jonathan Goulet.

BJ Penn after he started doing his camps out of Hilo and was getting Marinovich to do his S & C.

Sadly he could only keep that pace up for 2 fights.
