Being on this forum for a few months, i notice there are lots of fanbases who usually like to debate and argue instead of show support to the opposing fighter and their fans.

The more obvious ones are
-Jones and Fedor. It feels like the majority of the fans usually support one or the other. Its rare to see someone say good things about both fighters. Its usually they praise one, and criticize the other. Its understandable, as both have good claims for GOAT status and they want their favorite to be GOAT rather than the other
-Conor and Khabib - Sometimes, Khabib's fanbase feels like mostly those who dislike Conor. Khabib fans always seem to criticize Conor for tapping and not defending, while Conor fans call out Khabib for retiring early and not moving up
-DC and Jones - The fanbase rivalry is almost as strong as the rivalry between the two fighters
-Francis and Jones as of recently
-Probably Aldo and Conor's fanbases as well

Been here for 20 years, and I think more in terms of this when fanbase don't get along well on Sherdog.

Casual fans vs Hardcore fans
Just bleed fans vs It's all about technique fans
Dana supporters vs Fuck Dana fans
P4P is real fans vs P4P is stupid fans
Size don't matter fans vs Size do matter fans
WMMA Supporters vs WMMA should be gone fans
PED is Okay fans vs PED is illegal fans
Zuffa Zombies vs non-zuffa zombie fans

JMMA fans vs UFC is the best fans
Definitely!
PED vs non PEDs and WMMA lovers/haters are ones i have noticed a lot where there is no middle ground, just one or the other. Also, Dana has supporters these days?

To add to JustOnce's excellent list:

Circus Fight MMA is kick-ass! vs. MMA should try to be considered a legit sport
Super Heavy Weights are big and cool vs. Super Heavy Weights would gas in 30 seconds and the fights would be dumb
fans who only watch because of certain fighters vs. fans who love the sport
MMA should be more like WWE vs. MMA should try to separate itself as far as possible from WWE

BJ Penn vs GSP fans was my first... the taste of victory at UFC 94, I'll never forget.

I was already on Sherdog when their first fight happened, but I didn't really care that much about the fight. I was more excited about GSP vs Sean Sherk, Mayhem Miller or Matt Hughes 2 than I was about the first BJ Penn fight.

But the build up to the second fight, the pure venom spat by Penn and his fanboys... they truly hated this GSP fellow for some reason, and by all accounts the French dude seemed like a good guy.

Other notable fanbase rivalries were the Chute Boxe vs Brazilian Top Team fans.
Most of Sherdog was on the Chute Boxe side, because Wanderlei was a top 5 favorite on Sherdog, and then everyone loved Shogun, and Sakuraba training there had everyone hype...
The BTT on the other hand had fewer fans, but usually more "hardcore"... the team had the villainous Ricardo Arona (after the Saku massacre, followed by the Wanderlei dethroning, ), and his mini-me Paulo Filho, but it was also home to the Nogueira brothers, and they were truly respected on the 'dawg.

In my first month of Sherdog, I often encounter the following (your mileage may vary):
Fans who prefer large muscular physiques and hate skinny fighters.
Fans who are anti-WMMA.
Fans who insult Dana White compulsively.
Fans who freak out if you say anything disparaging about PRIDE.
Fans who have to remind you of PED's at every opportunity.
Fans who insist if you like fighter A, you must hate fighter B.
The countless GOAT and P4P temper tantrums.
Old fans who have contempt for newer, younger fans.
