Which fight shorts work best as boardshorts for surfing?

Hey guys,

Looking into buying a pair of fight shorts. I surf as well and I want to buy shorts that can do double-duty for no-gi BJJ and for surfing.

Do any of you have experience/comments on which brand shorts work best as both?

i surf also so i designed my shorts to work when surfing. no inseams allows for more range of motion for manuvers and also eliminates rashes on the inside of your legs from when you sit up on your board also the material is the fastest drying material availble.
 
Nogi... and Hitman Dan is right... his shorts dry obscenely fast.
 
I love my inspirits for surfining..comfy and dry pretty quick

end of the day Sprawls or TapouT's wouldnt be bad per say, just not as good (due to drying times)
 
Thanks for the responses guys. It sounds like nogi and inspirit are the frontrunners.

Question: can you go commando in nogi echoes without your junk showing? From what I've seen so far, I think I like the echoes the most (in terms of design).

What are the best places to buy nogis and inspirits?

Nogis. I brought like 4 pairs on my holiday thinking I'd go for a swim, head back to camp, and then put on a fresh pair for another swim (putting on wet shorts = not cool). But man, those things dried fast I just pulled the same pair back on after like 30 mins. And they weren't even in the sun

We bill them as "All Terrain" for this very reason. We sponsor a surfer and a MotoX guy. (granted, MotoX isn't something you should be wearing shorts for but, he wears our gear EVERYWEAR else)

Also, one of the dive mechanic crews working at Disneyland uses our shorts as a mandatory uniform under their wetsuit

The Echo is made with Brown front and back. So, unless your junk is radioactive and glowing green. . . you'll be alright.
