Historically lightweight has been seen as the most talent filled division but I think with the new influx of welterweight contenders it's kind of a toss up.

Welterweight now has GSP (possibly), Condit, Maia, Hendricks, Lombard, Woodley, Shields, Rory, Ellenburger, Lawler.... any of those would be awesome match ups.

Then lightweight has Pettis, Benson, Thompson, Grant, Melendez, Cerrone, Diaz, Barboza possibly and maybe Aldo if he moves up (which would be sick)

That's a hell of a murderers row in both divisions if you ask me, which do you think is more competitive?

The WW may have more names but just a few with a chance to beat gsp if none. So i go with the LW

Lightweight that can be champions; bendo, melendez, khabib, thompson, tj grant, and there are lots of top level fighters but these are the best

Welterweights that can be champions; hendricks, condit. There are some beasts in there but wont be champions as long as these 3 around; gsp, hendrix, condit.

GSP may be the most talented anyone in the divions but . .

LW,

Pettis
Bendo
Gilbert
are the most talented top 3 in any division, when Aldo moves up it will be the top 4

it has young legit talent in
Khabib and Rustam

and true, contending veterans in
TJ
THomson
RDA
Diaz(debatable i know)

I'm not as savvy with WW as I am with LW, but I'd say their top threes are the two most impressive top threes in the UFC , followed by MW and FW.

LW is probably has the deeper top 20 or so, but WW has better prospects and depth past that.

I think WW has the best top three, but LW is much, much deeper.

WW at the moment. WW, LW, and FW are all amazing right now though.

lw got pettis, benson, grant, melendez, thompson, khabib, diaz, rustam, rda, cerrone, etc.

welter: gsp, hendricks, condit, shields, rory, brown, robbie, maia, dong, tarec, lombard, ellenburger
