I read that HW is shallow, or thin (although, I disagree).
I read the same for LHW.

It seems that with Izzy in control, probably MW is also "thin" or locked up.

Is it only ever the WW and below that have serious contenders every other person with a contract?

LW. 3 feet.

I mean it can't really be anything mw or higher at this point in time

LW is the best division bar none, FW and BW are great too.
WW, FLW are good
MW is ok, I guess... nothing special
LHW is mediocre
HW is atrocious

I'd say BW is probably deepest worldwide at the moment, there's loads of organisations with a decent BW division.

LHW has the biggest pool, it's to dilute all these pinches of salt.
LMAO! Nice.

Unless it's changed in the last several months since I last checked it, the UFC's LW division has the most fighters under contract. But, I don't think it's the best in the org. Men's BW is probably the most stacked at the moment in terms of talent, and men's 145 and 170 are next.

Even though people have been s***ing on it for a while, I don't think 205 is as bad as it used to be. Just a few years ago, the only fighters in the division that anybody cared about were DC and Rumble, and neither of them were especially well-rounded. Meanwhile, Jones was in and out of the division, depending on what sort of mayhem he had going on either inside of his body or outside in the real world. The division might not be great now, but for the first time in a long time, it has young, athletic, and well-rounded competitors like Jiri, Rakic, Anthony Smith, and Ankalaev.

HW is shallow because almost no one is good. HW is deep because almost no one is good.

BW could seriously stay great for a while

I just came in to say how trash the 205 division is currently. Worst then HW. We have people pretending that Anthony Smith is done young up and coming prospect and but a MW reject

"deep"=division filled with mediocre fighters that need a paycheck.

Bantamweight statistically..

LW by perception.. lots of guys are really good and they have the power to finish fights in spectacular fashion..

BELOW IS THE TOTAL FOR EACH DIVION IN THE UFC ROSTER. LW IS THE MOST STACKED BY FAR

Fighters can recreate themselves. Stop bashing Anthony Smith lol

1. Lightweight is the best. Every match up no matter ranked or unranked is potential banger
2. Bantamweight also great - talentpool is wide but lacks of LW starpower
3. Featherweight is on par with BW can be swapped easily between this division
4. LightHeavyweight - if we are honest LHW is not bad, people are overracting and are like sheeps - when someone once said LHW is shit they are repeating this false claim

...like this idiot. Ranked is full of great match ups especially top10. Unranked.. not so much but there are some notable guys.
5. Welterweight - Usman's reign really damaged this division. Many stars were exposed on not being as good as we thought. Still good match ups but overall there is only few very good guys rest are midlevel. Lord Khamzat save us!
6. Middleweight - just like WW - there is Izzy, Whittaker and long nothing. Then some midlevel fighters. Few good matchups left.
7. Womens Strawweight - deepest WMMA division by far.
8. Flyweight - Fun, talented division but no star power. Besides Figgy, Moreno, Pantoja and few others there are few good fighters but most are up and comers. Maybe I am biased but I don't really have interest here.
9. Heavyweight - least interesting mens division but I rather have some wild brawlers than soccer moms.
10. Womens Flyweight - Shevchenko reigns supreme. There are few fun challengers but that's it.
11. Womens Bantamweight - similar situation as above.
12. Womens Featherweight - soccer moms league.

Tierwise I would go with :
TIER 1
LW

TIER 2
BW, FW

TIER 3
LHW, WW, MW, WSW, FLW

TIER 4
HW, WFLW, WBW

TIER 5
WFW

How is telling the truth bashing?
He got ran out of the MW division.
He beat 2 LHW who were clearly on their way out the door to earn a TS. (Where is Shogun anyway)
Had an horrendous showing in his title fight where the ref took 2 points from Jon and he still got blown out on scorecards. (And he could've taken the DQ and won the title but his ego didn't let him)

And ever since then he's been a pretty inconsistent fighter at LHW.

I like Anthony as a person and I believe he's a true martial artist and not a meathead but I also believe that in the spectrum of professional fighters he's gotten a boost from the fact the LHW is a trash division more than he's actually a top fighter.
