Its between Kubrick and Scorsese on that list. Easily above the others.

“I like the old masters … by which I mean John Ford, John Ford and John Ford.”
- Orson Welles

  1. The Searchers
  2. The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance
  3. Stagecoach
  4. The Grapes of Wrath
  5. Rio Grande*
*or My Darling Clementine / The Quiet Man / How Green was My Valley / She Wore a Yellow Ribbon / Fort Apache / Young Mister Lincoln / Mister Roberts / The Informer (take your pick)

Spielberg. Indiana Jones 1 & 3, Jurassic Park, ET, Saving Private Ryan, Schindler’s List. Etc

They would likely not be the best, but I love Alfred Hitchcock and Billy Wilder.

Billy Wilder
Some Like It Hot
The Apartment
Sunset Blvd.
Double Indemnity

Witness for the Prosecution

Alfred Hitchcock
Rear Window
Psycho
North by Northwest
Strangers on a Train
Virtigo

Eyes Wide Shut is his best, better than anything else he has done, but man do I love How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb.

Eyes Wide Shut > Dr. Srangelove.

I would take out True Grit and put in Burn After Reading, but great list as well.

For the Coen's I'd go

Blood Simple
Raising Arizona
Fargo
No Country For Old Men
True Grit

Wilder is an absolute legend.

Chose Tarantino but I prefer the hateful eight to kill Bill.

I was quite young and woke up late one night and turned on the tv. Naked Lunch was on, and I saw the part with the bug typewriter. I was freaked out but fascinated at the same time, lol.

I dont know which one I would take out, but I'd have to slip The Dead Zone in there somewhere. Awesome list though.

This is a tough for me. Down to Spielberg,Tarantino, and Scorcese.

lol if you responded Tarantino you should really keep shut when people talk about movies... there are fields you simply dont know and you look like an idiot having an opinion
