Which Country Has The Third Best Talent In The UFC?

lol canada! they have a small selection of average fighters

the russians are the best

Why, do you believe there is such a disparity between Russian and Canada, that we should have to defend our opinions.

Rory MacDonald - Possibly one fight away from the title
TJ Grant - Was in line for a shot before his injury, and also a win away from the title
Alexis Davis - Fighting for a title in July
Ivan Menjivar - Lost title eliminator to Urijah Faber
Patrick Cote - Lost Title fight to Anderson Silva
John Makdessi
Jordan Mein
Mark Bocek
Ryan Jimmo
Sam Stout
Sarah Kauffman
Claude Patrick
Jason McDonald

Plus many more.

GSP - One of the GOATS
Carlos Newton - Former UFC welterweight Champion
David Loiseau - Title Contender
Mark Hominick - Title Contender

As I said earlier, Its a toss up presently, but historically Canadians have been more dominant UFC fighters

No Nick Ring in your featured list. The TUF winner

Russia has three relevant fighters in the UFC right now, and so does Canada.
Canada also has more fighters right now, more Champions, and more title contenders historically.

TJ Grant could be one win from a shot a LW gold.
Rory could be one win away from a shot in a very tough division.
Elias Theodorou is a young stud at MW with high potential.
Ryan Jimmo could be close to top ten at LHW.
Mitch Gagnon is a very good prospect at BW with power.
Russians in the UFC would have a tough time challenging Canadians in these five weightclasses . Depth -wise Russia is producing excellent fighters but imo Canada is ahead. Would love to see Amagov vs Mein!!!

Russia has the widest range of talent after the US and Brazil. But I think in the UFC, it would be Canada.

Mexico. They already got 2 champs. Cain and Anthony Pettis.

I didn't necessarily think there was a huge disparity, just wanted a glimpse into the thought process. I had forgotten about quite a few guys on your list though.

Better post than I could have hoped for, thanks for taking the time.

Russia still gets my vote, mainly for Khabib.

Well. That ends the thread. Where's the guy that was shocked that people could possibly choose Canada over Russia

I'm right here. I'm guessing you aren't a statistics major...

The margin for error on something that uses rankings beyond the top ten is so great its not even worth discussing really. Honestly, where the hell did they get the data.

I don't care about Quantity ....prefer QUALITY
ill take the 3 koreans(kz/dhk/lim)
Over every other country
All 3 can knock you out/ all three can sub you/ all 3 are beasts

With GSP gone and Grant seemingly physically unable to fight again, it's Russia. Canada has always been very top-heavy in terms of talent. They have a few really good guys and then there is a drastic drop-off where everyone else is pretty much completely irrelevant. Russia is producing a higher amount of quality fighters. I'm not counting women though, which would probably still gives the edge to Canada.

If its "in the ufc at anytime"

Then I'm going netherlands
Bas
Moose
Alistair

Again quality over quantity

Did you read the title?

Fedor sign a ufc contract?

Kinda like ordering a beer at ihop..... it aint on the menu

He was in PRIDE and Strikeforce.

UFC absorbed PRIDE and Strikeforce.

He's practically a UFC fighter by proxy

1. USA
2. Brazil
3. Canada
4. Russia
5. England

?

Agreed, its a tough choice between Canada and Russia but I think Canada has a few more big name guys and overall many more fighters near the top level
