Shanghai I think wins.

NYC is overrated so I wont even post. And basically all of Europe has cities with beautiful skylines but very few tall buildings scattered around and as dense as HK, Singapore, Shanghai etc

Dubai below

Hong Kong below

That second pic is still Shanghai.

Still probably Hong Kong for me due to the setting.

I lived in Hong Kong for a few years and always have a soft spot for the view from Star Ferry Kowloon side going towards Hong Kong island. Especially in the evening with the traditional lantern lit-up Junks against the skyscrapers.

I’d say Shanghai has probably stolen the crown from New York.

Hong Kong and Dubai are both up there.

I’ve always been partial to Chicago’s skyline, though it certainly lacks the density of a New York or Hong Kong.

Probably Shanghai

NYC looks kind of dreary / too grey

Dubai is gauche and looks very artifical / synthetic.

Tokyo overall looks too grey, so depressing. HK also depressing because of all the similar looking apartment blocks.

I would take any Scandinavian and Continental European city's skyline of any of these skyscraper skylines.

I actually think Vancouver is in the running here:

It's certainly not the most grand, but between the backdrop of the mountains and the fact that they kept their buildings fairly uniform in style while still having some variety in shape, means that it looks pretty good. You can build all the fancy buildings you want, but you can't build the mountains behind them and the bay in front of them. City is full of twats, but it looks good.

Fuck Shanghai or any other Chinese cities, polluted as hell, would never visit

Fuck UAE and Dubai too, slave built

I prefer Paris, Moscow and Madrid along with Barcelona all when viewed on hill tops etc. However, none of those cities have depth of skyline and tall buildings. Moscow has tons of high rises but only 1 ares with a lot of tall buildings. London is sort of similar. My OP is asking about tall skylines with skyscrapers
