Just wondering if anyone who works out and takes Whey protein noticed a significant difference in muscle growth and how long it took to see these results. Debating whether or not its worth it. I have been working out 5 days a week for almost a year now, mostly arms chest shoulders back and abs stuff. Planning on adding some more lower body exercise when my knees stop being as bothersome. I have gained around 15 pounds of muscle so far which im pretty happy about considering how little body fat i have, but im trying to speed up the process a bit without anything stupid like roids.

any feedback would be appreciated

It's whey overated, but really, there's no good whey to tell.

(ok, I couldn't help myself. Two opportunity threads within minutes of each other. What are the chances? :icon_chee)

It's good if you have trouble getting enough protein/calories from real food. It's not magic or anything.

You sir, are whey out of line.

IMO its good for filler......like before I roll or train I use it as a meal replacement. Its not going to jack you up...it gives your body a boost of protien if your not getting enough from food.

I take it once a day unless I have Jiu Jitsu and I know Ill throw up a full meal.

Like someone said..its not magic

If you're trying to bulk up, you should definitely be supplementing with whey. PWO your body needs fast absorbing protein; I don't know any food you will be able to eat to compare to the digestibility of whey.

LOL... Whey to make my day

(this looked like too much fun to pass up)

I may be whey over exaggerating this, but I read a study that said they gave whey to rats and then after a few months stopped. The rats had gotten so powerful they were able to breakout of their cages and one chewed a scientist face off.

Stop with the whey/way madness!

If you're getting enough protein from whole foods then you might not need it, I personally use it because I have problems eating protein with every meal and it's convenient after a work out. Plus it's relatively cheap.
