Maybe top 10 - 15 spot?

Demian is pretty underrated, hes a heck of a fighter!

Outside the top 10 as he has never been an MMA champion

Andy, Aldo, Wanderlei, Big Nig, Vitor, Shogun, Machida, Werdum, Junior and Jacare all were champions and had legendary careers in major MMA organizations. Both Rickson and Royce, while of a different era, had a much greater impact on the sport than Maia.

...and I would rank him outside the top 10 if we include the best fighters in IBJJF/ADCC grappling competitions as well.

Behind Ruas, before Royce

I don't think he quite cracks top 15. At this point, he's still behind Cyborg Justino, but probably ahead of Ricardo Arona

Well below the likes of Anderson, Big Nog, Aldo, Shogun, Werdum, Wand, Vitor, and JDS obviously.
Maybe around the 15th range.

No. Cyborg has 3 good wins in her career.

If photoshop was a fighter she'd be Anderson "The Spiderman" Silva. Some of the shit he pulls rarely is unrealistic for a world level pro fight.

Top-15 for sure...maybe top-10.

Why difference does it make where someone is from and what's the point of ranking that? I never see anybody asking who's the best American fighter?

No. Cyborg has 3 good wins in her career.

And Maia's best win, and really his only one over another contender, is a RNC against Carlos Condit.

Most dominant WMMA fighter of all time > challenged for the MW title once, otherwise a gate keeper.

But if Maia takes the WW title from Woodley, I'd say he surpasses Cyborg. I'm a huge Maia fan, but the dude has faltered against top competition until very recently.

The dude is bad ass. 19-6 I believe in the UFC, and has been stopped only 1 time.

10-2 at WW
9-4 at MW

Wins over
Masvidal
Condit
Brown
Magny
Fitch
Story
Kim
Santiago
Grove
Miller
Sonnen
Quarry
MacDonald
Herman

Split decision loss to
Jake Shields

Decision Losses to
Rory Macdonald
Chris Weidman (at 185)
Mark Munoz (at 185)
Anderson Silva (at 185)

He has been stopped 1 time, by Nate Marquardt, at 185.

Right around the number 10 spot. I actually have him ahead of Jacare, albeit barely.

I'm not sure, but I'll be rooting for him until he retires.

Id say this about covers it. Hes earned title shots in 2 divisions but so far no gold. That puts him in elite company but not amongst the top 10. That could change though.
