What surprised people? Your first post was talking about people being fake and no one giving a fuck on here in the past, you're completely wrong so obviously weren't here at the time, the very first time he was heard talking like his tongue was too big for his mouth everyone said he should call it a day and have continued to say it since, especially when he came out looking in terrible shape and fighting weird.
If you watched him on TUF, he was already crazy. But, crazy only seemed to become a problem when he started losing.
Was he making these type of videos before? That should answer your question. Before he was just being weird and some saw all this as just a gimmick for extra media attention. Now he just got cut by UFC and making disturbing videos and saying wild stuff. None of this was happening before so now it's being viewed at differently. It's obvious now he needs help and he wasn't just doing all of this on purpose for media attention.
This isn't due to being eccentric. He's having breakdowns on video. Being eccentric is just doing things differently, not crying and losing control of your emotions and saying wild statements. That isn't being eccentric, that's a cry for help.
