After his victory over Maynard, I heard nothing more about him. World class grappling and developed a fun kicking game.
He probably makes way more from seminars than fighting.Looks like he has no fight scheduled but is training and teaching seminars
wouldnt be surprised if the ufc cut his comp after that last fightHe probably makes way more from seminars than fighting.
Hopefully learning to actually fight. He made this face at the camera after the Maynard fight like it wasn't his fault he bored everyone to death. His bjj is great but he's a terrible mma fighter
He, Alberto Mina, and Leo Santos are all surfing in Brazil with Ricardo Arona
It was a great strategy if it was a pure bjj guy against a k1 guy in Japan but in the ufc, no one wants to see fights like that.I actually thought that was a great strategy to beat a heavy handed wrestler like Gray.
Hall would throw kicks from a distance and every time Gray would get in boxing range Hall would flop to his back. Everyone is petrified of Hall's leglocks so they are forced to back away.
Gray's strengths were completely nullified in that match. Hall did what he had to do.
Unfortunately, the UFC was probably not too thrilled about those tactics. Perhaps that is why they are not in any rush to book him for another fight.
I personally enjoyed it. I thought it was a funny and intelligent game plan. I know many other BJJ and MMA guys who were also impressed by it and appreciated the strategy.
Last I heard, Adam Khaliev was also with them. Don't worry though, I'm sure his UFC debut is just around the corner. He, Alberto Mina, and Leo Santos are all surfing in Brazil with Ricardo Arona

He did fight and beat Maynard.
Falling to your back to avoid a punch is just as good as ducking or head movement to avoid a strike. It's Gray's fault for not going to the ground and trying to win there.
