I doubt GSP fights again this year. I would like to see Tony defend his interim, and then unify with Khabib.

Khabib fought Barboza before he got a shot at Tony's belt, and now he's had 2 fights. So I think its fair Tony has 1 fight and then unifies with Khabib for undisputed.

I don’t know, I mean given the circumstances with his soon to be long layoff it makes sense to win a fight first but the thought of defending an interim title just sounds so stupid.

If he doesn't then he can't claim to be champion, or "dispute" Khabib... Either way, Khabib said somewhere he wanted Tony to fight again before fighting him for the belt.

not sure if Ferg's Interim title is still a thing. I'm sure we'll get clarification soon though
