When we look at the worst awarded decisions in MMA, there's Shogun Machida 1, Machida Davis, Pearson Sanchez, Kampmann Sanchez, Lawler Carmont, Edgar Benson 2 at the top. Do you consider this to be in the same category as the above fights in terms of how severe a robbery it was or do you think it was a less clear cut screw job than those all time greats were in terms of how bad a robbery it was?

Very, very low in the "not a robbery" portion of the list.

The most basic principal in all combat sports (with judges) is don't leave it up to the judges...it's just that simple.

Nowhere, it wasnt a robbery or a bad decision. People need to watch this fight and watch round 2 closely. You have a fight with both guys "clearly" splitting two rounds (1&3) and round 2 being very close.

I had that fight 29-28 for Dariush and I see how the judges scored it that way as well

Nowhere near the worst. MJ coasted the third round and you just can't do that at this level and expect a decision.

Not a robbery. Not even comparable to some of the stinkers we've had just this year alone. This will be forgotten in a week or two.

It wasnt a fucking robbery, it was a close fight.

each of then won a round, and round 2 was very close. could have gone either way.

    I'll be honest.

This is one of the rare times I rewatched a fight, and thought the decision was actually justified.

The 2nd round was a lot closer than I remembered, and could understand why DB got the nod.

I will say I have absolutely no possible idea how Rashad thought MJ dominated round 3. IMO that was the clearest round of the fight and it went to DB.

A Blackzilian backing another Blackzilian? No way. What next? Rumble accusing the judges of giving BJs instead of watching the fight? Oh, wait...

It was indeed a horrible robbery. You'd have to truly be biased to Dariush to discredit the game from MJ in the second round, people making a case for leg kicks is a tough one. The fight wasn't very good, sure, and MJ didn't land very many hands, but he negated ALL td attempts, took away BD's hands and left him with fleeting kicks. That's it. This was definitely a fight where octagon control and aggression was shit on.

It's resounding - except on sherdog.

I had it the same. It was cringeworthy to hear rashad say mj even dominated the 3rd.
