Just me, but I always consider Faceplant to be much more meaningful than falling onto your back or side.

I find it both more definitive and embarrassing.

You can be stunned or off balance and fall onto your back or side. You have to be ALL the way knocked out to face plant. Even if you're stunned you're going to reflexively try to break your fall when you're headed face first into the ground.
