145? I honestly think the weight cut destroys him, he looks like a dead person. It's the worst cut in MMA, in recent times.

Stay at 135 and pray TJ loses.

Pull the JDS route if he wants to stay at 135. Let Cruz or someone else beat Tj and if that happens he makes his move. He should sit back and take a few fights vs some top 10 guys and work on his game over 2-3 fights.

Not his entire striking game mainly his boxing and set-ups. His Muay Thai is fine from what I've seen.

i think he just needs to take a break and re-focus, he looked like shit against TJ. It was almost like he had no interest in being there

hes wild and sloppy, he will not fare welll at 145lbs, if you cant beat dillashaw 2x (a guy who looks like a weightclass below you) your not going to be successful @ 145lbs. You will get that chin cracked even worse

Classic kneejerk criticism of a coach/gym because a champion fighter loses to a better guy. Didn't Aaron Rodgers tell you fools to RELAX when you got all whiny and critical at the Pack's slow start?

But yes Barao could use a change of scenery to improve his skillset. NU is still a great camp, just not for Barao at this stage in his career.

Awesome analysis  The biggest problem for Barao is the cut to 135. How can he be focused and nimble when he's so drained from making weight? At 145 he'll be quicker and have more energy so he'll get his chin hit less. He needs to make the change.
