I’ve thrown away many after forgetting about them for a couple days. Now I just wash them or at least fill them with water after a couple squirts of dish soap and leave them on the counter.

Immediately discarded the little blender ball thing because I'm an adult male

Drank out of it

It was good

Forgot it on my desk one night, protein shake untouched

Came back the next day my office smelled like death. Poured it out washed it

But now the smell is like stuck in the plastic or some shit, it's disgusting

Do i have to buy like a glass one or some shit wtf is this nonsensee

As someone who’s dealt with this problem before, my advice is as follows..

Fill it up with the protein powder and throw it in the trash.

Then find a different way to consume protein.

Furthermore, if you are just dishwashing it that aint gonna cut it

Protein is thick and sticks to that shit, the water pressure from the dishwasher isnt enough to get it off

So what happens is you get a thin film of protein buildup that starts to rot, not only stinking but also undoubtedly unleashing heaps of bacteria into your protein shakes

You gotta hand wash whatever you make protein shakes in imo

Its called soap, use it

Those plastic shaker bottles retain that stink if you leave them with protein (don't rinse or forget it and not refrigerate it) no matter how much you rinse or wash them out.
