Seriously, she sells out arenas and does HUGE ppv numbers. She's always talked about in the general media way more than any other fighter. Now that she lost, everyone seems soooo happy.

Maybe it's just that sherdog folk and my friends I talk Mma with have all been fans for a while and weren't fond of her and the relentless promotion behind her.

My question is, who are these fans? Just casuals and wwe folk?

Primarily casuals. A lot of hardcores have gotten sick of her shit recently.

Just casuals are Rousey fans.

It's not even Ronda that I had a problem with, it was the goddess aura that guys like Rogan and Dana were shoving down our throats that made the defeat so satisfying for almost everyone

I was posting with a few of them last night in a thread about Miesha's post fight statement, they're having a hard time dealing with the loss.

Im not happy im not even a Rousey fan, I think they need some marketing magic now if they wanna see the next Brock Boom in UFC.

Seems like much of the UFC roster wanted her humbled, both men and women.

Im a huge rousey fan,but what can i say,Holm and her team did an amazing job. Im not a troll who needs to come up with excuses.

I'm still a big fan of hers... Just much more realistic about her striking skills now. Or the lack thereof.

Ronda's fan base is all casuals

She was never popular on these sites

That's definitely why I rooted against her. Not overexposing/over-advertising yourself is really important and many public figures don't seem to realize that fact. I have nothing against Ronda personally and quite frankly I feel bad for her now but I wanted her to lose because of the media oversaturation and dumbass hype train.

It'll be interesting to see how Ronda handles this loss. She not only lost; she got completely obliterated and dominated. Despite rooting against her I hope she comes back with better striking and better cardio/conditioning. Because she's so emotional though, I worry that this loss will leave a permanent mental scar. She needs better coaching for sure.

Still here, War Ronda. I'm down for mma discussion, but most of it is "omg i'm soo happy she got ktfo" so there's really not much to discuss back and forth. Let them have their weird fun, she'll be back
