When your favorite fighter lost..what was your feeling on the manner in which it happened, and what did you think on the career of the fighter who did it going forward? Did you and do you respect that fighter,or do you hate him for eternity?

Nobody stays on top forever. But (as see) I stay loyal:

    Chuck
    Fedor
    Andy
    Conor

yeah I shed some tears along the way

I still got gee up highlight vids from when Chuck was coming up. Still inspires me.

Yeah but specifically, lets say with Chuck,it was Rampage in the 2nd fight. What did you feel about Rampage, and the manner that it happened?

I was a huge Chuck Liddell fan (still am).

Seeing your favorite fighter get KO'd multiple times has taught me never to get too attached anymore to fighters. Now I try not to pick favorites... it's too hard to watch. This ain't basketball...

This image is so powerful. Honestly It makes me sad. I kinda saw it coming, but that didn’t lessen it’s impact.

With Andy, I will say more about his ‘almost’ loss to Sonnen. I felt so strongly about it, like the UFC (Dana) wanted him to lose so badly. I never gave up hope. I was already loud but when he locked in the triangle arm bar I lost it, people blocks away would have heard my murderous bellows. It was fucking magic.

So, anyways, I guess I prefer to remember the highs, not the lows. These guys really inspire me in real life, I get emotionally invested, so better keep that point of view for me.

Rampage when I heard the decision for the Forrest fight.

It literally took me years to get over that one.

His personal life and finances took off though after that. Movies, celebrity status, him openly breaking his contract with Bellator and fighting in the UFC. He a self made millionaire.

I figured the chuck/rampage match would be more competitive than the first one cos i felt like Rampage wasnt all the way back from the horrendous ko against wanderlei in 04.
really it was a big mistake by chuck and it cost him everything
    similar to conor/aldo

Sorry to bring up a dead horse but Chuck wasn't ever supposed to have been #1 because when he won the trilogy with Randy he still had an unavenged loss to Rampage who had a loss to Shogun.

well its more like in the ufc at the time he was there. His fight with rampage was a long time ago,and rampage himself was sort of on the rocks career wise, taking beatings from wand and shogun..and looking ordinary in his wins.

When Tony lost to Justin I felt sad because of the way He lost and the amount of times he got fcked over by the UFC. But losing is honestly part of the game and it doesnt diminish what fighters have already accomplished.
People who follow only the undefeated until they lose, are weak minded.

Same. I was so excited for the reign of page. His wins over the team quest boys lindland and hendo had me confident about his wrestling abilities and his path to the belt made it appear like he was set for a number of defenses. Then the Forrest fight happened, and I don’t think page ever returned to where he was prior to that match. It’s also one of the very few title fights where the challenger straight up took the belt on the back of a point fighting performance. Back then I was a supporter of the notion that you need to DETHRONE a champ and TAKE the belt. More than likely just sour grapes from me.
