Most banks only carry about 20k to 50k in cash on hand. If you need to pull about 50k in cash or more, you have to order it in advance. I remember driving to about 5 different banks one time trying to draw a significant amount of cash and none of them had it.

That day was pulling 58k to pay cash for my new 4Runner. Other times to purchase rare musical instruments, buy precious metals, watercrafts etc

I always pay cash. It has true buying power and makes negotiating easier.
