what kind of shit thread is this?

It's why I close my eyes before I punch, I want to inflict the most damage

If you start watching this video at the 1:20 mark, and especially the slow-mo replays at the end, the is the most extreme example of a punch the other guy didn't see coming I have ever seen:

yeah it's weird. i used to think i knew how knockouts/chins work. its obviously some mix of mental strength, fatigue, weight cutting, cranial structure, seeing the punch coming, etc. who knows what's most important though?

sometimes seeing a punch coming isn't enough either. yeah, mayorga let trinidad smash him with a left hook and took it well but nate campbell let robbie peden do the same thing to him and he got KTFO'd. ko's are still mysterious even 100+ years into the sport of boxing.

Nobody said seeing a punch coming was enough. We're saying not seeing a punch coming is worse.

I know. I was agreeing when I said "yeah it's weird", just added that it's obviously a mix of things and no one really knows the formula.

Edit: I would also argue that Monroe knows the punch is coming in OP's screenshot, which is why he's flinching.
